Become a Foster and Save a Life!

We are currently seeking a foster home for a dog that we want to rescue and we were hoping that you could help us.

Shaggy is a havanese mix and is currently in need of a temporary home while we work on finding a permanent home for him. We are hoping to find a loving and caring foster family who can provide a safe and comfortable environment for him until he can be adopted.

Shaggy is 7 years old, very people friendly and calm. He is 19 lbs and needs some love. He is a super holder which means he doesn't pee/poop in his kennel. Shaggy is currently heartworm positive and we would be providing treatment for that. Please note heartworm disease is not contagious, meaning that a dog cannot catch the disease from being near an infected dog. He does have some skin irritation, which we will provide treatment for, and this caused temporary hair loss on his back legs and tail.

Our goal with Shaggy is to help him recover from heartworm and the skin irritation, and have him start the Best Chance Program, but in order to do this, we need a dedicated foster that will help him start his healing journey.

We understand that fostering a dog can be a big commitment, but we assure you that the experience can be incredibly rewarding. Not only will you be helping to save a life, but you will also be providing a temporary home for a dog who may have never experienced love and care before.

In addition to seeking a foster home, we are also asking for donations to help us rescue more dogs like this one. Any amount of donation, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will go towards providing food, shelter, and medical care for our rescued dogs.

Thank you for your consideration and for all that you do for our rescue organization.

Best regards,

Ozzie Albies Foundation
