At the Ozzie Albies Foundation, our commitment to helping dogs in need extends far beyond our local community. With the launch of our International Outreach Program, we’ve already begun building bridges of compassion across borders, and in 2026, we are continuing this mission with a rescue initiative in Curaçao.

On January 24th, 2026, our team will travel to the island of Curaçao to provide critical support for its dog population. Together with local partners, we will be assisting with spay and neuter efforts, vaccinations, and urgent veterinary care while also delivering essential supplies to support the island’s rescues and families who care for these animals.

The Heart Behind the Mission: Lucas Barbosa

We are especially proud that this mission will be coordinated by our very own Rescue Coordinator, Lucas Barbosa. Lucas has been at the heart of nearly every rescue effort at the Ozzie Albies Foundation. His leadership, compassion, and ability to organize large-scale rescue operations make him the perfect person to spearhead this international effort.

Lucas’s dedication reflects the true spirit of our Foundation: commitment, love, and a belief that every dog deserves a chance, no matter where they’re born.
